Our Commitment to Sustainable Tourism
At Takjub, we believe meaningful travel goes beyond visiting beautiful destinations. It is also about respecting the natural environments and local communities that make each journey special. We are committed to responsible tourism practices that balance environmental care, cultural respect, and positive local impact across our travel experiences in Indonesia.
We apply responsible travel principles throughout our operations, focusing on practical actions that reduce environmental impact while enhancing the quality of each journey. Our sustainability efforts continue to evolve as we work closely with local partners and destinations.
Reducing Single-Use Plastic
We have begun replacing plastic bottled water with non-plastic mineral water bottles across many destinations, including Bali, Yogyakarta, and Lombok. For our sailing trips, reusable tumblers are provided free of charge to guests to help minimize plastic waste during the journey.
Waste Management on Sailing Trips
For all sailing trips, guests and crews are required to bring all waste back to the main port. Disposal of trash on destination islands or at sea is strictly prohibited, helping protect fragile marine and island ecosystems.
Moving Forward
Our sustainability journey is ongoing. We continue to explore ways to improve our practices, collaborate with local communities, and support travel experiences that are both enriching and environmentally responsible.
